I am Hellen Lakanet, a lady from Kenya who was sponsored by ZIKOMO .
I studied "Community Health Nursing" at the Kenya Medical Training Center College and graduated in December 2017.

Honestly I do not have the right words to express my gratitude towards ZIKOMO, only God can pay you. To be sincere, if God never sent ZIKOMO to my aid, I do not know how my life could be now. I am who I am today because of ZIKOMO. Through their empowerment I am now a Nurse and I am in a position to get a job . I now have a license to practice as a qualified nurse.

Through your empowerment I can now talk to the girls and women in my community - to help to fight harmful practices like female genital mutilation and early marriages!

I am also able to assist my siblings to get an education like me because I now know the benefits of education.I have already helped my sister to join my college to study the same course.

My family is now smiling and happy because of the impact of ZIKOMO. We are hoping for a brighter future and praying for you ZIKOMO to get more funds to support more needy students like me.
