Rhoda, a ZIKOMO student in Zambia, tells us about her six-months internship during her studies:

My name is Rhoda, I am in my 3rd year doing a Degree program at ZITHS (Zambia institute of tourism and hospitality studies). My experience at The Royal Livingstone Victoria Falls Zambia Hotel by Anantara was breathtaking. I went through important departments like housekeeping, front office, food and beverage, stewarding, maintenance, kitchen, and the stores. I learned so much despite the hotel being very busy. I came across a lot of friendly employees who went out of their way just to make sure I understand their department. I was exposed to different kinds of guests and learned something on each and every encounter with a guest.
Plus I got to see the mighty Victoria Falls, Zambezi river and different kinds of animals as the hotel is located in a national park. It’s been a great six months and all thanks to ZIKOMO, for making this opportunity possible for me by giving me this scholarship.
