James´s Brief an ZIKOMO:

Liebes ZIKOMO Team,

Euer

Asare James

This is James´s letter to ZIKOMO:

Dear ZIKOMO- Team,

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude to you (ZIKOMO) for making this educational scholarship available. I was thrilled to learn of my selection for this honour, and I am deeply appreciative of your support. My name is James Asare, a Ghanaian citizen and 19 years of age. I am a student at University of Professional Studies, Accra. I am pursuing a four years degree course (Bachelor of Science in Marketing). At the end of my four years bachelor program, I will be graduating with two different certificates. (Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Chartered Institute of Marketing).

I am from a family with financial problems. My dad died before I was born leaving my aged mother alone with three children (sons). I was taken from my mom due to the financial problem we were facing, and I was brought to a foster home at the age of 5. The foster home has taken care of me in terms of providing shelter, food, clothing and education. I started from first grade through to the Junior High school and continued my High School at Manya Krobo Senior High School which is a very good high school in Ghana where I studied business. I developed the interest for the marketing sector or aspect of business with the little knowledge I had in economics, financial accounting, cost accounting and business management during my time in high school and this has been the main reason why I am studying marketing in the university.

I decided to pursue Bachelor of Science in Marketing because it has always been my dream to satisfy people needs and convince or persuade them in deciding as to what they want. At the end of the study, I would be enlightened about how customers behave, how to get products to customers, marketing psychology, decision science and how to communicate to customers. This will help equip me for the marketing world hence my dream of becoming one of the best marketers in Ghana.

Thank you again for your generosity and support. I promise to work very hard and eventually give back to others, possibly a scholarship to future students like myself.

Yours faithfully,

Asare James.
